The R5AC-PTMP rocket ac airMAX ac BaseStation from Ubiquiti Networks uses airMAX ac technology to provide up to 450 Mbps throughput. With an outdoor UV stabilized plastic enclosure this BaseStation can be installed in some of the harshest conditions allowing for the data signal to reach greater distances. Featuring Ubiquiti’s airPrism technology, the Rocket5ac PtMP is designed for optimal PtMP performance, although it can operate in PtP mode.
R5AC-PTMP include airMAX ac technology and also feature airPrism technology to further enhance performance. Pair the Rocket ac with airMAX ac antennas for optimal performance.
5 GHz Frequency Band
The 5 GHz radio band is free to use, worldwide, offers plentiful spectrum, and works well for long-distance links.
Gigabit Ethernet
The Rocket ac provides a Gigabit Ethernet connection to deliver high throughput.
Passive Power over Ethernet
Includes 24V Passive PoE functionality, which allows both power and data to be carried over a single Ethernet cable to the device.
Superior Performance
The next-generation airMAX ac technology boosts the advantages of our proprietary TDMA protocol. Ubiquiti’s airMAX engine with custom IC dramatically improves TDMA latency and network scalability.
Advanced Software Technology
Ubiquiti’s airMAX technology is proven in millions of deployments worldwide, exhibiting outstanding performance in outdoor environments. The TDMA airMAX protocol enables unprecedented scalability, high throughput and low latency in unlicensed, multipoint networks.
The RocketDish RD-5G31-AC is a Carrier Class 2x2 Bridge Dish Antenna that was designed to seamlessly integrate with RocketM radios (RocketM sold separately). Pair the RocketM’s radio with the RocketDish antenna’s reach to create the endpoint of a high-performance, Point-to-Point (PtP) backhaul. On the right is one example of how the RocketDish can be deployed. With an improved F/B ratio and lower sidelobes, interference from other transmitters in the area is lowered. In addition, the antenna operates under the 5 GHz frequency and supports airMAX technology, which uses a Time Division Multiple Access protocol to send and receive data at pre-designated time slots.
Ubiquiti Networks has designed the RD-5G31-AC RocketDish for outdoor use and included brackets and fasteners so you can mount it to a pole. To withstand nature's harsh conditions, the dish and mounting bracket of the antenna are crafted with lightweight aluminum. For easy alignment of the dish, a bubble level is on board. Furthermore, the dish is protected with an included radome, and the cables and connectors are housed in a metal shroud.
airOS
Is an intuitive, versatile, highly developed Ubiquiti firmware technology. It is exceptionally intuitive and was designed to require no training to operate. Behind the user interface is a powerful firmware architecture, which enables high-performance, outdoor multipoint networking.
